NASA’s Opportunity Rover caught a snapshot of a living creature on Mars – and it looks a lot like something that would reside on our planet Earth!
Over the past few years outer space photographs taken by NASA’s rovers have made us wonder if the various shapes and shadows we see on the pictures are the proof that there is indeed alien life. The latest example is a recent photograph taken by NASA’s Opportunity Rover.
The snapshot was taken on Mars’ surface and by the looks of it, it shows a shape that hauntingly resembles a living creature, which looks strangely familiar to something you would find on our own planet. The four-legged creature, which has a massive body, resembles a lion or a bison – at least these are the most popular two theories. So, there are bison or lion-like aliens living on Mars? Maybe not.
According to some experts, we often make conclusions about a shape or a shadow and we believe it’s an actual thing – a ghost, an animal or some other creature. Why is it that we make such conclusions? The experts claim that we are unconsciously trying to explain something, even if it’s not there, because we’re trying to make a link between the scientifically proven and the unexplainable. For example, there’s still no solid explanation for the strange “creature”, which was photographed on Mars. Thus, we’re trying to hold on to something that would help us explain it – and this is where the bison and the lion theories come in handy.
However, if you actually look closely at the image, you will see that the light that’s shining through the creature’s back legs isn’t actually light. It’s simply a rock formation, which means that the “creature” might not be a creature at all, but simply a shadow of something else. Nevertheless, it would be really cool if there were actual bison or lions walking across Mars, wouldn’t it.
